How to find a good Chiropractor?
More people today are searching out drug-less solutions to fix physical problems, such as back and neck pain.
All too often people who are seeking natural alternatives do not know where to start when it comes to finding a good Doctor of Chiropractic. They wonder if the doctor will be thorough, knowledgeable, caring and gentle.
Here are a few considerations for finding the best match:
-Is the office well reviewed online. Check out their Facebook and Google Reviews to see if most are 5 star reviews. Are 9 out of 10 people happy or not?
-Ask the office if their technique specialty includes your primary complaint (As an example, if you have sciatica due to a herniated disc, the doctor specializes in disc disease. They would have additional post graduate training in that arena)
-Will the doctor treat with no objective parameters or goals (As an example, does the doctor utilize measurable goals, analyze x-rays, diagnose the root cause. Although Chiropractic is extremely safe, you should want your doctor to do a detailed exam as opposed to just laying you down to treat on your first visit)
-Does the Chiropractor palpate and check for misalignment’s before adjusting. Or do they give a bit more of a generic couple of thrusts without feeling for alignment first.
-Does the clinic guarantee 100% results? Even though Chiropractic has a very successful track record there should be candor if they can help your condition. And also report to you what is the next course of action if you don’t improve in a certain amount of time. Each step should be presented to you in advance of care for clarity purposes.
-Lastly do not be worried in setting up an interview/consult with the office to see if you feel comfortable. Trust must be earned.
